Pocket Number 7: Le Monde, The Waters Edge, Brindleyplace

WP_20150428_17_07_45_ProLe Monde fish bar and grill is a surf and turf specialized restaurant situated a floor above Cafe Rouge at Birmingham’s Brindleyplace complex.

The restaurant’s decor is darkly elegant in Art-Deco WP_20150428_17_22_08_Prostyle and there’s a cocktail and champagne bar, a salad bar and an iced seafood counter with a cornucopia of raw produce on display.

WP_20150428_17_22_00_ProI discovered an appetite and WP_20150428_17_42_38_Proso had moules marinières (plus bread for dunking) and the mussels were plump and plentiful.

JJ had taken my order from behind the bar. I explained about what I was doing and for a placeholder, she gave the montage an oyster shell. She then sent me to try a cocktail mixed by Sam at Bar Opus. JJ told me that she used to work together with Sam.
