BBC Coventry and Warwickshire’s home is at Priory Place, a south-facing public square surrounded by Chinese restaurants, a Nando’s, an Indian curry house, a sushi and noodle bar, a traditional fish & chips, a creperie, an oriental supermarket and a Mediterranean restaurant – all helping to create a sort of world food court .
When I arrived, music was being recorded live in the lobby and so the receptionist led me into a quiet corridor where I explained about what I was doing and how Jessica had referred me to see Sally.
I waited in a sitting room with green walls while Sally was retrieved. When she arrived I explained to her about 25 Pockets of Coventry.
Sally works as a radio producer for BBC Coventry and Warwickshire. She told me to come back on Friday morning to meet Vic Minnett in her Open House . She then gave to the assemblage a glass Christmas tree – as though she had a premonition of the Christmassy encounters yet to come and who Vic would send me to see next!
