Pocket Number 9: Grindsmith, The Garage, MediaCityUK

WP_20160525_17_00_02_ProGrindsmith  started out as a mobile coffee van and grew its business to now include: an ecopod at Greengate Square, an outlet at Deansgate and an outlet at MediaCityUK.

Its MediaCityUK outlet had opened for business just two days prior to my visit.

The kitchen was closed so I had a well-extracted espresso and admired the venue’s stain glass window WP_20160525_16_58_50_ProWP_20160525_16_42_14_Prodepicting coffee’s origin story beneath Grindsmith’s dodecagram star logo.

I met Dave, Sanna, Jamie and Max all working at the venue and told them about what I was doing. I received for the assemblage an animal likeness  of WP_20160604_21_35_43_ProMike, sketched by Sanna. Poor Mike had turned up to work with a black eye.

I also received a Grindsmith coffee mug bearing its dodecagram logo design.

Max then wrote on the frame for me to go see Dan at Pavé Coffee, have an espresso on him WP_20160525_16_44_32_Proand ride on Pavé’s red bicycle.
