Rob brought me over from PopBankColour Studios to his business at Dashing Blades Barbershop.
Rob was adorned with tailored tweeds, round spectacles and two-tone brogues and had retro-styled his barbershop’s redbrick and green interior with a Persian rug, wood furniture, a button-back sofa and ornately framed mirrors and pictures, including a poster by PopBankColour.
Rob told me that he used to teach before giving up his vocation to follow his passion for tending hair – beard hair especially.
I asked Rob what variety of beard he recommended for my facial shape and he suggested a longer beard to help elongate my face.
After I explained about what I was doing Rob gave one of his business cards to the assemblage and then sent me to Inspire Bar for a drink. He told me to see Mick or Martin there, who both have beards.
