Pocket Number-17: Crobar, Manette Street, Soho, London

WP_20150102_20_04_02_Pro (2)Crobar is an authentic, poster-plastered, skull-themed dive bar.

I arrived there during happy hour(s) with cans and bottles of beer priced at £3.50 – dead cheap for London – so I had two. A jukebox was playing rock, punk and WP_20150102_19_38_36_Pro (2)metal music.

Between drinks, I explained to a barman called Jim about the project.

Jim gave the project a white badge with a black skull on it labelled BACKIE. He explained that a Backie is someone who sits towards the back of a bar, like I had.

Jim then sent me to look for the team manager of The Black Heart, in Camden.
