Pocket Number 7: Thomas Tripp, Stanford Rd, Lymington

24135478_10100559178676117_1954759516_nThomas Tripp is a burly, stuccoed public house situated like a bulwark at the road junction between Queen’s Street and Stanford Road.

The pub’s wood covered interior is warmed by a traditional fireplace and the layout divides the space into two parts with a main bar and a separate function room.

It was Sunday afternoon and people were 24135641_10100559178626217_1438905239_ntucking into their Sunday roast. I’d have joined them but was still digesting The Chequers Inn’s roast and so settled for a pint of Ringwood Best.

I told Paige about 25 Pockets of Southampton and she gave the montage Thomas Tripp’s business card and said I should visit The Hobbit in Southampton, see anyone and enjoy the atmosphere.
