Thomas Tripp is a burly, stuccoed public house situated like a bulwark at the road junction between Queen’s Street and Stanford Road.
The pub’s wood covered interior is warmed by a traditional fireplace and the layout divides the space into two parts with a main bar and a separate function room.
It was Sunday afternoon and people were tucking into their Sunday roast. I’d have joined them but was still digesting The Chequers Inn’s roast and so settled for a pint of Ringwood Best.
I told Paige about 25 Pockets of Southampton and she gave the montage Thomas Tripp’s business card and said I should visit The Hobbit in Southampton, see anyone and enjoy the atmosphere.
