Hear the Word is a spoken word event Ruth organizes. It takes place at the garden house at the Gardener’s Arms on the third Monday of the month, every other month .
Following Patti’s instructions, I approached Ruth and explained about the project her.
Ruth contributed to the montage a poetry pamphlet titled ‘Apples of Gold” – alluding to the Bible proverb: “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” The pamphlet contains poetry from the 10+ years of the event “Hear the Word.”
Ruth, invited me for dinner at an open day at her Christian community at Woodstock Road and advised me to speak to Peter, who resides there.
