Pocket Number-29: Murphy’s Bar, Regent Street

Murphy’s Bar is a family run, Irish pub that’s been a fixture of Regent Street for over 23 years.

I arrived late Saturday morning and saw customers having Irish breakfasts with their Guinness.

I got myself a pint of Guinness and met the pub’s licensee, Kenny Murphy.

I explained about what I was doing and Kenny gave the assemblage a Murphy’s baseball cap and then sent me to see John @ The Builders Arms.

I asked Kenny if he wanted me to pass on any message to John and he told me to sip a Guinness and remark to John: “hmmm, tastes better at Murphy’s.”
