Gullivers is a traditional, tile-faced, wood-panelled pub and music venue on Oldham Street in Manchester’s creative Northern Quarter. It has recently been taken over and refurbished by the business owners of Castle Hotel, situated just over the road.
Inside, there’s a front-room bar, a snug and spaces for live shows and music sessions.
Local ales are on tap and I tried the Manchester Pale Ale, brewed by the family-run Manchester brewer, JW Lees.
Sarah and Molly were behind the bar and I explained to them about what I was doing and passed on Max’s message (“do some work PLEASE!!-Especially you Holly!“).
Sarah gave the assemblage a train ticket from a party trip she and Molly had made to York earlier in the month.
I was then told to: “go to Band on the Wall, get an amazing curry off Giles and tell the crew they’re awesome like us“
